Actually, not all bacteria are bad. There are thousands of distinct species of bacteria, protozoa, yeasts, and fungi in the equine gastrointestinal tract and the majority of these are beneficial. They exist in a symbiotic relationship with the horse, helping it to maximize the extraction and absorption of nutrients from its food.
I thought bacteria were bad. Why would I feed bacteria to my foal?
